Greetings Piano & Guitar Parents!
Your child has the opportunity to take part in the Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations (formerly called the Music Development Program) in Kingman this late May/ early June, through the Royal Conservatory of Music (similar to Berklee Conservatory of Music). I have provided a little information below. For more details about the program check out their website
Should you choose for your child to do this, it will require extra practice and focus in preparation for the assessment that will take place either May 26th or June 2nd. I will gradually equip them over the next 4-5 months at a pace that is doable for any child committed to preparing for this assessment.
Important Dates and Information
- Date: May 26th / June 2nd (will know the finalized date soon)
- Preparatory Level Fee: $59
- Level 1 Fee (only a few students are at Level 1): $99
- Fees are due when I register your child
What are the Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations?
The Royal Conservatory of Music (on par with Berklee Conservatory of Music) in Toronto, Canada “provides a recognized national standard of musical success through an effectively sequenced course of study from beginner to advanced levels…[and] inspires excellence through individual student assessments and allows students to celebrate accomplishment and track their progress with others across the country.”
Why should we do this? How will this benefit my child?
Participation in this program and assessment is a wonderful experience that will benefit your child not only in their musical skill, but in other areas of their life as well.

Registration needs to be completed by mid-February, but the sooner I register our students the better as there are a limited amount of slots available for the examinations. Let me know by this Friday, February 2nd if your child will participate.
See you at the studio!
